My research focus is on the shared dynamics along the oral-gut axis; namely, how gut inflammation may induce phenotypic changes in the oral cavity. I am also interested in intestinal stem cell niches, with a focus on its interactions with other cell types in the crypt and its implications for IBD. Overall, this work will involve a combination of omics, fluorescent imaging, and animal models. My prior background is in cancer immunology, spanning B cell-breast cancer cell interaction and bispecific antibodies (PD-1, CTLA-4).
